Volunteer Speedway Mission Statement:
Volunteer Speedway prides itself in offering fans an entertaining evening of exciting, affordable ($8 adult grandstand admission, youth (ages 10-15) $4, children 9-and-under admitted free in the grandstands), competitive (five divisions - Super Late Model, Crate Late Model, Hobby Stock, Open Wheel Modified and Mini Stock) racing action every Saturday from March through mid-October in a picturesque setting.
Providing a "fan-friendly" facility is a tremendous asset, and when attending a night of racing at Volunteer Speedway you will find ample seating and plenty of parking. First impressions are everlasting in people's minds, and the overall aesthetics (cleanliness of the grounds, with fresh painted buildings) of the complex is what will entice the fans to return.
When you visit Volunteer Speedway, it all begins down at the main entrance when you drive through the gates. The access road leading to the pit sign-in building is concrete, and once you pass through the gate you will drive on asphalt up into the backside pits and tier-parking area. All along the top of the front straightaway grandstands, you will walk on asphalt. For 2008, a new concession restaurant will be open inside the all-new pavilion building located on the main grandstand side, which will feature sit-down eating in an environmentally controlled setting along with viewing of a big-screen TV for sporting events. Also, look for entertainment (music/comedy) to be held inside the pavilion during 2008.
Clean restrooms, that in itself says it all. V.I.P. areas with sponsor amenities to help enhance the marketability of the facility. When it comes time to eat, an outstanding concession featuring many items will satisfy even the heartiest of appetites (you can't beat the world-famous homeade chili that is on the hotdogs and nachos with chili and cheese). The jumbo hamburgers are a meal in itself, and to wash it all down you will find refreshing Pepsi products.
The primary objective to the drivers is to provide them a competitive weekly purse structure, while offering an excellent season-ending point fund bonus payout. The track racing surface, groomed to offer the drivers (racin' ... not chasin' in single file) multi-grooves to maneuver their high-powered machines around the high banks, can be found every week at "The Gap."
In striving to reach each of the above stated goals for Volunteer Speedway, I'd like to say a big "thank you" to both the fans and drivers who come out every time the gates are open to support the racing at the track.
Sincerely,
Joe Loven - Volunteer Speedway owner
